Alia's Retreats and Rentals began with a simple conviction: the best way to experience the Big Island is not from a hotel corridor, but from a home that lets you live alongside it — kitchen open, doors wide, the sound of the ocean as your morning alarm.
Our properties line a six-mile stretch of Mamalahoa Highway, one of Hawaii's most consequential roads. To the east, the slopes of Mauna Loa rise in patient silence. To the west, the Pacific unfolds in every shade of blue. Holualoa sits between them — a narrow belt of volcanic soil, art studios, and quiet residential streets that most visitors never discover.
We manage only a handful of homes. That keeps the experience personal, the turnover careful, and the attention to detail genuine.
